Riot in the Egyptian League, 74 Supporters Killed

CAIRO - The riots occurred in the Egyptian League supporters. As many as 74 people were killed and hundreds were injured, FIFA also said a day of mourning for the world of football.
 
The clashes occurred at two local clubs in the league with Egypt Al-Masry Al-Ahly, in Port Said, Thursday (02/02/2012). Even one of the victims came from the police who tried to defuse the situation.
 
The incident occurred came from the brutal action of supporters of Al-Masry, as host, shortly after his team beat Al-Ahly success with the score 3-1. The fans get into the playing field so the referee blew the long whistle.
 
A bunch of fans can be seen chasing Al-Ahly players. But then they went to supporters of the visitors by throwing stones, bottles and fireworks.
 
"The death toll has now reached 74, including one policeman, in a riot after a match between Al-Ahly and Al-Masri," an official statement from the Ministry of Health, as disitat Super Sport, Thursday (02/02/2012).
 
Responding to this, FIFA president Sepp Blatter said condolences and are concerned about this incident. "I was very shocked and saddened to learn this evening (early hari.red) that a large number of football supporters have died or injured," said FIFA President Sepp Blatter.
 
"It was a dark day for football as an unimaginable disaster situations and should not be happening," he said.
