Iniesta: Barcelona Fighting to the End

BARCELONA - Barcelona's Andres Iniesta insists that will fight to the end of the season to defend their La Liga title from Real Madrid who has topped the standings.
 
Despite 10 points adrift with Los Blancos, the Spanish international midfielder said the Blaugrana will not give up and always trying to grab three points in La Liga games remaining this season.
 
"We will fight until the end. This is our target. We will continue to collect three points on a weekly basis, and be prepared if one day Madrid slip up," said Iniesta as reported by the Guardian, Friday (24/02/2012).
 
Barca does look less consistent this season, some times they lose full points against mediocre teams, it is this that makes the Catalan team should be pretty far adrift from the Spanish capital club.
 
"To win the league, you do have to perform consistently, whether at home or away, our results are quite difficult lately our own," said 27-year-old player.
 
This weekend, the Blaugrana will undergo other major matches in La Liga when it had to face Atletico Madrid. However, a capital of a 5-1 win over Valencia last week, Barcelona retainer was dogged by high confidence.
"We played very well against Valencia, and the results it should be able to provide us with additional spirit," he said.
 
"Now we will deal with Atletico and we knew it would be a difficult game. They are a good team since Diego Simeone addressed. However, we hope to continue this positive result against Valencia," he concluded.
