Chelsea had Drogba assess a very severe test of the season, after they have lost their dominance in the top four since Roman Abramovich took over.
"This is the hardest season for me to be here," said the Ivory Coast player, who joined the Blues from Marseille in 2004.
"The players and fans are accustomed to seeing this team in two or three top ranking, but it's different now."
