That means, re-created distance between them and the neighbors - Manchester City, who is now two-digit odds. However, Rooney did not want to forget the hard work of 10 other United players who tried to steal a point from Stamford Bridge.

"The problem is, we lost two points. We understand that our results can be, but after trailing 3-0, the players would feel happy at Manchester City. But I am proud United can bounce, "said Rooney, as quoted by the Daily Post, Monday (02/06/2012).

"Perhaps, many teams are willing to head down and accept defeat, but we will never give up under any circumstances," he added.

After the match, there were rumors that unpleasant comments about the penalty is considered a 'gift' from the referee. But Wazza - greeting Rooney, did not want to be too bothered by it, because it does not see clearly how the penalty was created.

"A couple of penalties that we can, I do not really know for sure. But thankfully the referee aware of the offense and give a penalty, "added Rooney.
