Hertha Berlin Fire Babbel

BERLIN - Markus Babbel officially dismissed from his post as coach of Hertha Berlin following the club's reluctance to extend the contract with a new promotion to the Bundesliga this season.

Babbel contracts expire at the end of this season and despite quite managed to put Hertha into the seventh Bundesliga but manajamen decided to sack the former Bayern Munich and Liverpool.

"On Sunday, December 18, Hertha BSC Markus Babbel freed from his duties as head coach. The decision will be further described in a press conference, "the official statement of the club.

Babel handles and Hertha since 2010 and successfully led the club based in the Olympiastadion to win the Bundesliga 2 as well as promotion to the Bundesliga.

Decision 39-year-old coach who did not want to extend the contract eventually forced to make the club fired Babbel and looking for a replacement.

Eskisehirspor coach, Michael Skibbe stated Hertha coach will fill the position next.
