Brazil to face Romania, Ronaldo Back Strengthen Selecao

Brazilian soccer legend, Ronaldo Luis Nazario de Lima, will return to the gridiron to defend his country when Selecao face Romania next June 7. This match will be a farewell match for Ronaldo.

The former Barcelona, Inter Milan, Real Madrid and AC Milan had already decided to retire from professional football in February, after Corinthians eliminated from the Copa Libertadores, with again no good physical reason to continue playing at the top level.

However, Ronaldo, who successfully brought the Brazilian national team win the 1994 World Cup in the United States and 2002 in Korea-Japan, will return to grazing and defended his country for the last time. He will play in a friendly match to face Romania.

Brazil national team coach, Mano Menezes, mgengatakan that he did not expect much from Ronaldo in the match. Menezes plans to play Ronaldo in the first half and gave the opportunity for the legend to perform a farewell to the fans in the interval of rest.

"We do not expect much from him (Ronaldo), this will be a moment of friendship, joy for him is more than just being on the field.," Menezes said as quoted by AFP. "He will go in the first half, he will play some minutes and at halftime he could make a separation," he continued.
