Maicon Inter ready to loose

Inter technical director Marco Branca gave hint that the Nerazzurri ready to release his right-back who was targeted by Real Madrid, Douglas Maicon.

The arrival of young right-back Jonathan Cicero Santos Moreira from raising questions about the future at Giuseppe Meazza Maicon.

"We have no intention to sell star players. We will only discuss it if there is an unusually large bids come, "Branca said, as quoted from Sky Sport Italia.

"Jonathan will arrive next week, but he is not a substitute Maicon, because Maicnon will remain with us as long as we do not get a decent offer," continued the former retainer of Inter in the 1996-1998 era.

Implicitly, this statement is a call to the club enthusiasts Maicon, especially Real Madrid, to be bid at a price that is worth considering.

Apart from Maicon, Inter are also looking for a way out of the contract Lucimar Ferreira da Silva, aka Lucio, the central defender, which ends next June 2012.

The 33-year-old defender asked for a contract extension of up to two years longer, but with consideration of age, Inter can only guarantee a contract extension of up to one year longer.

"There is a problem regarding the duration of current contract negotiations Lucio, but we are quite confident he will remain with us," he concluded.
