Juventus are able to maintain its position at the top spot after a rousing 2-1 win over Inter Milan at the Giuseppe Meazza last weekend. Milan itself is ranked fourth in the standings, two points behind the Old Lady.
"Milan are the champions, they have great players and that's why they are still a favorite for the championship," said Matri as reported by Football-Italy, Tuesday (01/11/2011).
"We just have to concentrate on the best position at the end of this season. We have to wait and see what happens," he said.
Bianconeri own unbeaten so far this season lasts, but Matri has warned fans that they will face another big test next weekend.
"Everything went well and we want to continue this path," added the former Cagliari player. "But we have a very important game at Napoli later," he continued.
"The fact that Napoli are playing in Europe and we can not be an advantage for us on a physical level, but there are certain games where motivation helps to get rid of fatigue," he said.
