City runner-up viewfinder

Manchester City's victory over Blackburn Rovers hoping to make Roberto Mancini is more than just the Champions League ticket. The Italian manager expects City to finish in the runner-ups.

City currently sit in fourth place in the Premier League standings with 59 points from 33 matches. The Citizens eight points adrift of Chelsea, who occupy the second rank, but the Blues have played 34 games, while the City still save one match savings.

With five games remaining, the chance to overtake Chelsea City is still open. Although difficult, it is trying to be pursued by Mancini.

"If Chelsea lose on all of their matches and we win then we get to the second position. But, I think it would be very difficult, "said Mancini told SkySports.

"Now, after this fight, I think we should think about this weekend's match against West Ham because it would be very, very heavy like tonight," he added.
