Cerezo: Atletico Already Offer New Contract at De Gea

Atletico Madrid president, Enrique Cerezo, revealed that the club has offered new contracts to David de Gea to guard it from the grip of a huge interest in the Premier League, Manchester United.
20-year-old goalkeeper has long been linked to flee to the United in the summer instead of Edwin van der Sar, who had decided to retire at the end of the season.
De Gea itself is still under contract with Atletico until 2013, but Cerezo has confirmed that the latest deal has been offered at De Gea to remain binding on the future of the Spanish national team goalkeeper is at the Vicente Calderon.
"De Gea is a great player and still has a contract for two more years. We had already made a contract renewal to be given to him," said Cerezo on Europa Press.
"But it all does not entirely depend on us. We will first try to talk to him at the end of the season and see what will happen next," he added.
Cerezo also talked about Sergio Aguero who has been linked with Real Madrid, and refute some of the news that meyebutkan that there is a clause in the Argentina international players such contract which forbade him to leave the Santiago Bernabeu.
"Aguero has no clause in the anti-Real Madrid. The news would not be meaningful because every player can play wherever they want," said Cerezo.
"Aguero is not going to leave Atletico. And even if he decides to leave, then he would not be in one club in the realm of Spain," he said.
About Diego Forlan, who some time ago to get wrath of Atleti supporters, Cerezo stated that the board of directors is very pleased with Atletico Madrid Forlan appearance this season on the grounds that none of the players in the world that could reach twice the Golden Boots.
"He (Forlan) is a very important player for the club. This season is probably not the best season, as has been experienced by other players, but he will rise again and rediscover his best performance as we know it," he concluded.
