'Barca need seven points for the champions'

Barcelona coach Josep Guardiola mathematically assess his team needs seven more points to retain La Liga title. He asked his men to focus on the match remaining.

Barcelona currently lead the Spanish League standings with a value of 88 or eight points ahead of second-placed Real Madrid. Competition La Liga itself leaves five matches to play.

"Mathematically we need seven more points to get to the league championship title and every victory is a big step for us," said coach Josep Guardiola Azulgrana quoted as saying by the official club website.

With seven extra points, then the value of Barca will be 95. Points can match Real Madrid's rivals when winning the whole match remaining. But in a head-to-head, the Blaugrana ahead of Los Merengues.
