Overcome Spurs, City translucent inaugural Champions

Manchester City to ensure a playoff ticket for the Champions League next season after beating Tottenham Hotspur at home. Ironic for the Spurs, the City created a single goal from Peter Crouch's own goal.
Thanks to this victory, the City collect points 65. With two matches left to the end of the season, that value is not likely being chased by Liverpool (58 points) and the Spurs own (56 points).
Thus, the four teams who will represent England in the Champions League has been ascertained: United, Chelsea, Arsenal and City.
For the City, this achievement is very special to remember the last time they engaged in one of Europe's top competition is about 40 years ago when they won the UEFA Cup Winners' Cup. City also successfully promote themselves after last year just working in the Europa League.
This weekend (Saturday local time), the City also has a great opportunity to win the first trophy since the FA Cup last 30 years.

Milner then release the bait to the Spurs front of goal, where Crouch stood up to help the defense. Unfortunately for the England international striker, his intention to block the ball even make the ball turn directions to the club's own goal. City winning 1-0.
Throughout the first half, Soccernet noted that the Spurs appear more dominant. They won control of the ball with a ratio of 64:36.
Spurs also released nine shots, although only one is right on target. While the City to release three and one of them on target.
In the second half, the Spurs still control the game with more of the ball. Comparison of control of the ball too wide to be 66:34. However, the Lilywhites not really harm the City's goal.
Replacing the five midfielders is not much help to dismantle the Spurs defense City. When the balls are released over the stagnant Crouch, Harry Redknapp also include Jermain Defoe in the 78th minute.
The effort was also fruitless. Defoe failed to release even one shot on target once.
Conversely, the Spurs goalkeeper almost collapse in minute 86. Patrick Vieira who lives facing one on one with Carlo Cudicini release the kick straight at goalkeeper. Luckily for Spurs, William Gallas is in line with the ball so successfully menghalaunya head.
In the minutes of injury time, Tevez who appeared in around ten minutes of the last, almost just to add a goal City if it were not for the alertness of Cudicini.
Fight ended with the score 1-0 for the victory of the City that ensures the opportunity to perform at their most prestigious European competition.
