Ferdinand to the extent reluctant to watch a recording of the match which he said was not actually the game United's. Now, the Red Devils will return to face Barca at the top of Champions League matches this season.
"I never watch again the final match of 2009. But the game like it's too hard to forget. It is inherent in your head," said Ferdinand.
"It's not Manchester United. On the way home after the game, we sit down and think if we go down and become United's the truth, the result will be different. This time, we will give you a better."
