MEXICO CITY - Mexico's national team can breathe a little on the alleged use of doping by five players. All five reportedly had just passed the second medical test.
Earlier in the routine test some time ago, namely five Mexican players, goalkeeper Guillermo Ochoa, Francisco Rodriguez, Edgar Duenas, Christian Bermudez and Antonio Naelson unknown tested positive for doping manifold using clenbuterol. These results are forcing them to leave the squad for Mexico that is currently struggling in the CONCACAF Gold Cup 2011 in the United States.
Response to this, the Mexican Football Federation did not believe his players to use doping, immediately took action by launching a second test, 10 June. In tests conducted at the University of Los Angeles, California, they have encouraging results for all five players to become negative (not shown use of doping).
Now, the highest football authorities in Mexico that had raised the discourse to the World Anti-Doping Association (WADA) to conduct another examination (test B) to the players who tested positive at first test May 21, so as quoted by SI.com on Wednesday (15/06/2011).
According to the players and team officials, substance clenbuterol which flows in the blood of all five players are contained in food or meat consumed by the players.
