Manchester United manager, Sir Alex Ferguson, denied the rumors stating that he would buy a David de Gea from Atletico Madrid in the summer.
Currently United is currently active in the transfer market will catch up Edwin van der Sar's retirement at the end of the season. They also have been reported to be aiming some substitute goalkeeper Van der Sar. Finally some British media reported that United have dropped their option on De Gea, as their main goalkeeper next season.
"On Italian television, I was informed had been brought two players from Italy on this night. So I can include the news (with news of De Gea). There is much speculation about who would I bring to the market this summer. Too many people are asking certain names to me. For now I can not answer it, "said Ferguson, as quoted by the Daily Mail.
To replace Van der Sar, United's own Anders Lindegaard has actually brought in the transfer market in January. But Fergie does not seem so confident with the performance of 27-year-old goalkeeper, so he decided to look for another goalkeeper to replace Van der Sar. Besides De Gea, from a few rumors circulating in the British mass media, United also eyeing Manuel Neuer and Rene Adler as the successor to Van der Sar.
