Nagatomo position which had been doubted by some parties as Gasperini preferred 3-4-3 formation instead of 4-3-3 which previously applied to coach Inter before. If true Gasperini use 3-4-3 formation, it is certainly questionable where Nagatomo will play, considering the ideal position is left back.
"I assure him (Nagatomo). I like him and know he was great to play on the wing. I was surprised to find it on the team for Inter, "Gasperini said as quoted by the official Inter website.
"He was entitled to succeed that he can. If players are playing well, keep learning and growing, then he would have played better and better. I'm excited to train Yuto, "he continued.
Nagatomo Inter borrowed from Cesena in January which was also recently appointed Inter Leonardo as a coach. Under the leadership of Leonardo-Nagatomo get a regular position as a defender or defensive midfielder and now he is a permanent player at Inter.
