DUBAI - Career former World Cup star Fabio Cannavaro Italy 2006 did not last long at Al Ahli. Former Juventus defender was likely thrown out the club this summer.
Cannavaro left Juventus last summer and started a career in Dubai. Although the former world player of this binding two-year contract, the club seems to send a strong signal to discontinue the contract.
"I can not share anything about what happened at the club today, but we are considering what should be done to restore the heyday of Al Ahli," said President Abdullah Saeed Al Nabaoudah told Gulf News on Monday (20/62011).
"Having a great foreign players is an important aspect in our league because they make a difference and can help win the game. They must have the ability to change the team even though the team had eight mediocre players in the UAE, "he added.
Nabaoudah Cannavaro did not rule on the transfer of released this summer because the club was to revamp the squad.
"Yes we have Cannavaro, but this is in stock, we can bring players and selling players, all made possible.
