Inter Milan midfielder Esteban Cambiasso, optimistic that the coach, Leonardo, could help the Nerazzurri got up and still compete to hunt down the treble-winning anymore like they achieved last season.
La Beneamata 2-5 defeat of Schalke when playing the first leg Champions League quarter-final at the Giuseppe Meazza, Wednesday (6 / 4) early morning hrs. The defeat was the second defeat in a week, where several days before they were also destroyed by rivals, AC Milan, with the final score 0-3 in the derby in Serie A.
Two successive defeat that sparked the development of the news that coach Leonardo most likely will be replaced. However, Cambiasso said the former AC Milan coach was able to lead the club out of the slump experienced by the current Nerazzurri.
"I want to remind everyone that we only Italian team that was hunting for third win competition which we still play," said 30-year-old player told Sky Sport. "The players, clubs, and supporters, all close to the figure of Leonardo. We want to improve this situation as quickly as possible and get out of this bad situation," he continued.
Regarding the two defeats suffered by his team, Cambiasso sure all can be different when Cristian Chivu's not a good red-carded when faced with their rivals in Serie A, and when faced with the Bundesliga club in the Champions League game yesterday.
"If we managed to take one or two occasions, it will be a different story," said Cambiasso. "If our players are not to be removed, we would not have conceded more," he continued.
Inter currently somewhat difficult to get through to the semi-finals of the Champions League because of yesterday's defeat in the first leg requiring them to at least four goals in the second leg when they travel to Germany.
